International Office International researchers are in good hands here

People from all over the world come to Bochum in order to conduct research at RUB. The Welcome Centre provides helpful information to get them started.

Researchers from all over the world are in good hands here: at the International Office Welcome Centre. In January 2020, the offices have moved and can now be found in the university administration building. “We support international researchers and their families to help them get off to a good start at RUB,” says Anna Gopon, coordinator at the Welcome Centre.

Newcomers to RUB are offered helpful information about the campus, the city of Bochum and life in the Ruhr area at events, excursions and personal guidance sessions. Just in time for the move to the new premises, a new information brochure has also been published, which contains many pointers for getting started at RUB. It is available at the Welcome Centre.

Office hours

The Welcome Centre in room UV 0/63 opens Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 3pm. Consultation hours are on Mondays and Thursdays between 10am 12 noon and on Tuesdays and Fridays from 12 noon and 2pm. New researchers are advised to register online in order to receive regular information about the services.
