Ukraine “An attack on all of us”

The RUB Rectorate speaks out on the attacks on Ukraine.

The attack on Ukraine is an attack on all of us. Peace, democracy and freedom are under threat. We extend our solidarity to the entire Ukrainian population. We welcome and support all measures that help to alleviate the suffering and stop Putin’s war. We explicitly take a stand against Vladimir Putin’s policies – and not against the people from and in Russia, many of whom work and study with us and who are just as shocked by the current situation as we are. Ruhr-Universität Bochum will do everything within its means to help. All members of Ruhr-Universität are called upon to participate in relief actions and to stand united against this attack on Ukraine and on peace.
