Original news

Students including international students are entitled to a one-off payment of 200 euros from the federal government. The one-off payment should help to alleviate the effects of rising energy costs. The application can be made from mid-March 2023 on the site einmalzahlung200.de.

Eligible students will officially receive the necessary application information, including an access code for proof of educational status, by e-mail from Ruhr University in mid-March. It is therefore recommended to keep an eye on your own mailbox.

Register for the application

To apply, it is necessary to set up a BundID. This can already be set up now. For later identification when applying, the BundID can be linked to the electronic ID card (eID) or the ELSTER certificate. However, these are not mandatory for the application. In that case, registration with a user name and password is sufficient.
