Join the Research Data Management Network
All interested members of Ruhr University Bochum are welcome to attend the meeting in December.
All members of Ruhr University Bochum are invited to the meeting of the Network for Research Data Management on December 3, 2026. It will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. in building IA. Those interested can register online until November 27, 2026. After registering, participants will be notified of the room number.
The goal of the network is to pool expertise on campus, strengthen collaboration between departments, identify research needs, and jointly develop ideas for practical structures. The Research Data Services team organizes the network which communicates in English.
The network will celebrate its first anniversary in December 2026. At the meeting, participants plan to reflect on their experiences during the network’s first year and make plans for 2027. They can
- share their specific needs and topics from their respective fields,
- exchange experiences and learn about best practices from other disciplines,
- provide suggestions for services, training, and exchange formats related to research data management.
During the network’s first year, the focus was on topics such as research data workflows, data storage solutions, and electronic lab notebooks.
