Ruhr Innovation Lab Invitation to the Second Funding Days

In this event series, members of Ruhr University Bochum and TU Dortmund University can get some tips on applying for third-party funding from various funding agencies.

Following the successful launch earlier this year, Ruhr University Bochum and TU Dortmund University will once again jointly host the “Funding Days” from June 22 to 26, 2026. The two partners are currently applying together as “Ruhr Innovation Lab” in the Excellence Strategy.

Event focus topics

In a series of online sessions, researchers from both universities can learn about various research funding programs. This time, the focus is on German national funding programs as well as grants from the European Research Council. The event is organized by the Research Support Offices of both universities.

About the Ruhr Innovation Lab

Under the title “Ruhr Innovation Lab,” Ruhr University Bochum and TU Dortmund University are currently applying for the title of a Consortium of Excellence in the Excellence Strategy. The two partners have been working closely together with the University of Duisburg-Essen since 2007 as part of the University Alliance Ruhr. The Ruhr Innovation Lab’s application for the Excellence Strategy takes this collaboration to the next level.
