RUB International Science Days Towards Society 5.0
Germany and Japan are working closely together politically on digitisation – there is now an initiative from RUB for greater cooperation within research.
The digital revolution, with all its challenges and consequences for our lives, is right at the top of the political agenda in Japan and Germany. During the digital dialogue at the Cebit trade fair, both countries agreed to deepen their collaboration. RUB is now providing additional momentum for increased cooperation within research – and has presented a new, interdisciplinary format for this.
More than 40 representatives and researchers from leading Japanese universities, including from University Tokyo, Osaka University and University Tsukuba, will visit Bochum. Together with RUB researchers, they will explore specific fields of action for joint research projects and knowledge transfer relating to Society 5.0. Existing projects are set to gain additional boost.
The sky is the limit in terms of topics – after all, digitisation permeates all aspects of our lives, our work and our everyday life. The specialized collaborations set to be deepened or boosted thus range from law to physics, from medicine to IT security.
